One of my buddies sent me a track the other day featuring the artist Nick Luebke who did his own rendition of the catchiest song ever; "Call Me Maybe" Well today Nick Luebke released a new original track where he teams up with, TO to create this great beat. I will definitely keep this track on repeat for the days to come.

I can't keep this song off repeat!

Looks like IanJ is back in the studio creating some awesome music again. I was expecting this remix of Maroon 5's track "Payphone" to be more of a party track like IanJ's last mixtape "Happy Birthday". But this is definitely a more serious take on the pop hit. With added vocal by Steve Mast (from Plain White T's), I feel that this is IanJ's best work yet. I am excited to hear more over the coming summer.

It seems as if every artist in the underground game has sampled at least one of Daft Punk's tracks in the past, but YONAS knows how to resurrect a track back from the dead, and this version is straight fire. With his catchy chorus and flowing verses, this track earns the right to be played at your next party.

I find these two tracks to be intense and hard hitting, and I am sure that you will find the same. You can call these tracks a remix as they feature other artist's music (mostly Skrillex). Lyrical genius.... QuEST who recently released "Gambler" is preparing for his upcoming project Fear Not Failure which I cannot wait for. (You will definitely see more of this project once it is released) But for now we have the track "Gambler" which I feel is intense (in a good way of course). The track has a little dubstep that ties in perfectly, but I would not consider this genre as a dubstep but more of a Hip/Hop Rap background.

Since this is our first post on QuEST, here is a brief bio from the up and coming rapper who hails from Miami:

However with the increased traffic to this site I have a feeling that most of you have not heard of this very talented artist named OnCue, so check out our earlier post we did for OnCue's AMAZING track "Rick Kid" produced by Brenton Duvall and CJ Luzi. Anyways...OnCue is a rapper out of NYC who has been killing tracks for a few years now.

There is something about OnCue that just gets me wanting more of his music.OnCue is lyrically impressive and any beat that is paired with his lyrics turn to gold. Keep an eye out for him because he is destine to blow up. So be sure to pick up the free download and keep this track on repeat.

Whenever J. Cole gets behind the mic or jumps on a track it is going to be on here. Cole has swag for days. He'll be headlining our spring concert this year at the Zoo and if I have to, i'll camp outside of the Mullin's center for weeks if it gets me floor seats.

Cole has come out with a couple new tracks in the past couple weeks and has hopped on Tyga's newest mixtape as well. His tracks always take a couple listens for me to get the lyrics down but then it's on repeat until the next . "Visionz of Home" was his newest released and he gets into his past upbringing being from NC. There's no video for it yet but take a listen...download link is there too.

Let me start off by saying that I'm the new rookie on the blog team. My name is Phil and I'm definitely Murph's (blog creator's) favorite roommate.  I'm a senior at Umass Amherst which is sadly coming to an end.  I listen and download to music almost religiously so why not share some of my new favorites with the world wide web. Enjoy.

So getting right into it, I never heard of Tarik until about a week ago. I stumbled on one of his singles "Know Your Name" off his second mixtape. He's quickly making something out of himself from Brooklyn, NY. The kid has a couple things going for him. His overall flow is smooth and his ability to sing on the hook and then come in rapping verses has always impressed me about an artist. Easily a song to throw on the bus ride to campus playlist. Look for more good quality hip/hop and r&b from this guy in the future.

You can download the full mixtape or just download some singles I put below. I threw in a couple videos he has made from the recent mixtape with downloads as well. He shows off his quick flow in "Weatherman" and everyone has to rap over "Dead Presidents" I guess. The beat never gets old though. Both of those are after the jump.

Yesterday Terry Urban released this unbelievable mixtape to cellebrate Notorious B.I.G.'s life. The mixtape (which is a mashup with with Lana Del Rey) features 15 quality tracks that I cannot stop listening to. Once you pick up the free download, burn this to a CD because this mixtape does not deserve to be forgotten on your iPod.

I feel that the best description for this music can only come from the artist of this mixtape Here is what Terry Urban has to say:

You can hear some influences (Waka Flocka, B.o.B, Machine Gun Kelly, OnCue, Eminem) yet he is creating his own style as well. I really enjoy the tracks and hope that he takes off.

Feature Cuts is an up and coming artist who has created some pretty awesome remixes this past year. Hailing out of Huston Texas, Feature Cuts produces "bangers" that will sure put a lazy night into a raging party. With his newest remix of Kaskade's  "Room For Happiness" he adds some awesome whoomping sections to an already great track. And don't get me wrong I am in love with this remix. For those of you out there that do not know me personally I HATED dubstep when it was first made popular by Rusko, but with time I began to love it and found a whole new respect to the new genre. So Logic just released a new video to his new track "The Spotlight" For those of you who do not know who Logic is just yet then finish reading this post because I am sure you will be impressed.

I first heard of this kid a half year ago and he has incredible flow that is fast too. With his new track he spits over Justice's track D.A.N.C.E which  most of you probably heard Wale spit over this track with W.A.L.E.D.A.N.C.E which was my first Wale track that I had ever heard. This is just a great track to listen to.
