So I came across this trailer for the documentary "We Are Legion: The Story of The Hacktivist" and it really sparked my interest. If you are not familiar with the news involving hacking lately... pretty much networks of computer smart people (the top gun group is known as "Anonymous") are hacking into confidential websites and pages and releasing information. Mainly the targets are people or groups that have violated citizens right, and these hackers are trying to bully corrupt practices done by governments and corporations to make things right for the average citizen. I must say I think this is very cool and interesting. I support anyone who tries to keep access to the internet free and safe, granted their practices of hacking may release documents that hurt people; but all in all the point as a whole is to help people.
I also find amazing that these groups are not lead by one person or a small group of people, they are a collection of people that come up with ideas with one whole bodied voice. This has and seems to be working very well for the group. Too bad our government is not something like this.
